Welcome to our website for ‘Science 2.0’: Science in transition.
The purpose of this site is to support the validation process of the public consultation on ‘Science 2.0: Science in Transition’. The public consultation closed in September 2014 and this site will remain accessible until the end of the validation process in 2015.
The background document to the consultation provides a useful summary of the meaning and implications of Science 2.0.
The three main objectives of the consultation and validation are:
(1) to assess the degree of awareness amongst the stakeholders of the changing modus operandi for science and research;
(2) to assess the perception of the opportunities and challenges; and
(3) to identify possible policy implications and actions to strengthen the competitiveness of the European science and research system by enabling it to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by Science 2.0.
April 2015: The final report of the validation project is now available: Science 2.0 Final Report
